CRIME in the Tenby, Narberth, Saundersfoot, Amroth and Carew areas has seen a general rise, based on the latest figures.

In October the number of offences in the whole area - which includes three policing districts - fell by around 30 per cent from the previous month.

The November total was 112, against 118 in October.

This has risen to 124 for December.

The Tenby town area saw a total of 51 crimes, compared to 44 the previous month. Violence and sexual offence reports were at a standstill 16, anti-social behaviour rose, from nine to 11; drug offences rose, from four to nine; criminal damage and arson from seven to six, drugs from four to nine; and public order dropped from two to nil.

There was a variation in the amount of public order offences - from three to four; anti-social behaviour - from four to three; criminal damage and arson - from one to four; violence and sexual offences, from ten to 12; other theft - from eight to three. There was also two burglaries, one drugs offence, and one possession of weapons.

The Narberth policing area - which includes Templeton, Tavernspite, Llawhaden and Maenclochog - saw a rise from 36 in November to 43 in December.

Anti-social behaviour offences doubled, from five to 10, but other theft numbers dropped from 12 to seven. There was also a burglary, two criminal damage and arson crimes, two of shoplifting, one other crime and 18 violence and sexual offences crimes, up from 10.
