A HORSE rider has been taken to hospital following a fall near Manorbier this morning, February 6.

Tenby Coastguard Rescue team were paged at 10.38am to attend a report of a woman who had fallen from a horse on a footpath near Manorbier church.

Posting on Facebook, the team wrote: “Upon arrival Tenby CRT located the casualty and assessed medical requirements.

“It was decided that St Govan Coastguard Rescue team was also going to be required due to the location and terrain.

“While preparing to evacuate the casualty an ambulance team arrived and were able to make the casualty more comfortable before being moved.

“The casualty was then placed into a stretcher and carried from the location by coastguard rescue operatives to awaiting land ambulance. The casualty was then transferred to hospital for further treatment and the rescue teams stood down.”

The coastguard teams left at 12.46pm.
