CAREW sports clubs bared all one more time to present a cheque for a worthy cause.
Members of Carew Football and Cricket Club recently presented a cheque for £1,000 to Macmillan Cancer Support.
Various fundraising events have taken place within the village over the past few months and some members have even bared all to appear in the club’s 2019 calendar.
The club said it would like to thank Ross Grieve Photography for producing the calendar without charge, Rachel Knox for organising it all, and the local businesses who have sponsored a month.
Thanks go to Pembroke County Cricket Club for its donation, and Hughes and John Recycling for a donation in memory of the late great Kelly Scourfield.
Fundraising Chairman Dai Rees said at the presentation of the cheque: “It cannot be put into words the admiration we have for the staff at Macmillan.
“We thank them for the work they do within our community, it is absolutely amazing.
“Thank you.”
