A drunk and disorderly Haverfordwest woman unleashed a tirade of foul and abusive language in a local retail park.
Sian Anita Davies, 51, who gave her address as care of her solicitor’s office, pleaded guilty to being drunk and disorderly in a public place when she appeared at Haverfordwest magistrates court on Tuesday, February 19.
The court heard that Davies was taken to hospital by ambulance on January 15, but did not want to be treated and walked off to the nearby Withybush Retail Park, where she was approached by police officers.
Vaughan Pritchard-Jones, prosecuting, said: “She was extremely drunk. The police tried to persuade her to go to hospital for treatment, but she was having none of it.
“Tirades of foul language were issued at all and sundry. She was taken away due to her unacceptable behaviour.”
Jonathan Webb, defending, said police were called at 7.15pm, after the retail park had closed.
“There is no suggestion that there were members of the public around. She was drunk and using foul and abusive language, and she was under the influence of alcohol.
“She was drunk and she was being disorderly.”
Magistrates fined Davies £80 and ordered her to pay £85 court costs and a £30 surcharge.
Davies said: “Can I just apologise to the court for my behaviour.”
