TWO pregnant ewes and their lambs were killed in the latest dog-worrying incident in Pembrokeshire.
Dyfed Powys Rural crime team said a dog was left off it's lead by the owner near livestock at Llanychaer, Fishguard.
The heavily pregnant ewes were chased by the dog and died, along with their lambs, as a result.
The dog owner has been identified and enquiries by Dyfed Powys Rural crime team are continuing.
A spokesman said: "The message must be emphasised about keeping dogs on leads near livestock - and this is the impact where stress from being chased is enough to kill them. The dog doesn't have to attack the animals."
Any similar incidents should be reported to the crime team by ringing 101.
