Less than a gram of cannabis cost a Pembroke Dock man nearly £200.

Peter Harrison of Dimond Street, pleaded guilty to possession of Class B drugs when he appeared before Haverfordwest magistrates on Tuesday, April 9.

Dennis Davies, prosecuting, said police executed a warrant at a Dimond Street shop on March 5 and recovered 0.8 grams of herbal cannabis from the front room where Harrison occasionally slept.

The court heard that Harrison, 36, had received a conditional discharge for possession of cannabis resin in 2016.

Mike Kelleher, defending, said Harrison was a self-employed sole trader, who had just started to run his own shop.

He added: “It was a small amount of cannabis, £8 worth.”

Magistrates fined Harrison £80 and ordered him to pay £85 court costs and a £30 surcharge.

A destruction order was made for the seized drugs.
