POLYSTYRENE has entered the water at the Mackerel Stage, Milford Haven, after storm damage has caused a buoyancy aid to break free.
A spokesperson from the Port of Milford Haven said: “We can confirm that on the April 15, the Mackerel Stage sustained storm damage which has led to it being out of use for all users until further notice.
"One of the restraint piles was damaged and a buoyancy float broke free, causing polystyrene to enter the water.
"Once the conditions are safe enough, we will begin an operation to remove all polystyrene from the water and to remove the landing stage for repairs.”
