A SAGESTON man has been warned a jail sentence could follow after he admitted committing sexual offences against five boys.

Jonathan Harris, aged 24, appeared before Judge Geraint Walters at Swansea crown court on April 18 for a plea and trial preparation hearing.

Harris, of Bartletts Well Road, admitted inciting the under 16-year-olds to engage in sexual activity and to causing three of them to view indecent images.

All the offending took place during 2017.

His barrister, Jim Davis, said Harris appreciated that the crimes passed the custody threshold and that a prison sentence could be the outcome.

But Judge Walters agreed to postpone sentencing until June 24 to allow a psychologist and a probation officer to prepare reports on Harris.

Judge Walters said it was possible that there could be an alternative to jail.

Harris was granted bail meanwhile, but ordered to register with the police as a sex offender with immediate effect.
