A GROWING Cardigan business is to move to new premises.

West Wales Holiday Cottages is expanding from their current base in Sarnau to let Unit 4A/B at Parc Aberporth.

West Wales Holiday Cottages was established in 2005 by father and son David and Matthew Witt. The company advertises self-catering holiday cottages on behalf of owners across Ceredigion, Pembrokeshire and Carmarthenshire. It started with five cottages and today advertises more than 800 cottages on their website.

Senior Partner, David Witt said he and his staff are looking forward to the change of offices.

“We are delighted to announce our relocation to Parc Aberporth which enables us to strengthen and grow our business within the local community,” he said.

“The location allows us more space and the potential to add to our workforce from the local area and have the advantage of much faster broadband which we have needed for some time.”

The partners are joined by four full-time members of staff and two part-time, with the intention of

expanding the team after the move. There are plans for a meeting room and staff facilities as well as new office space.

Parc Aberporth is owned and managed by the Welsh Government and provides a mix of modern, business units ranging from offices of 450 sq ft up to 5,000 sq ft and industrial units up to 10,000 sq ft with excellent parking. Other tenants include West Wales Airport and QinetiQ.

Marketing agents for Welsh Government, Stuart Hogg Property Consultants said: “It is very encouraging to see a successful local business expanding in the area. The business park is well placed to attract other tenants operating in the West Wales area providing easy access to the A487 and with Cardigan only about four miles away.

“Increasingly we are seeing how entrepreneurs and expanding small enterprises value being able to run their business in beautiful parts of the world and with the excellent broadband speeds available at Parc Aberporth, this is made very easy to do.”
