THE seventh Welsh National Tractor Road Run is coming to Pembrokeshire later this year, June 2, starting from the Pembrokeshire county showground at Withybush.

The event, organised by the South West Wales Vintage Tractor & Engine Club, is assisted by Mark Beynon Evans, Hywel Mason, Henry Dixon, Meurig Harries, and other committee members.

The committee has chosen four charities to support: Cancer Research, CRY (Cardiac Risk in the Young), the Motor Neurone Disease Association, and mental health charity the DPJ Foundation.

Before the 10am Sunday morning run, a 1956 Fordson Major diesel tractor will be auctioned by Brian Harries.

The run takes in picturesque views of the Preselis, with a complimentary tea break at Clarbeston Road Memorial Hall.

The run is followed by a two-course dinner, available at the showground’s Pavilion Building, if pre-booked.

There will also be a grand raffle, with prizes of £400, £300, £200, and £100, tickets available from Dilwyn Phillips, 01437 710 428, or any committee member.

Entry forms for the run are available from Michael Evans, Gorsemount, Whitland, SA340Qx, or may be downloaded from the Welsh National Tractor Road Run Facebook page.

More than 100 entries have already been received from Ireland to take part in the run, which incorporates this year’s Welsh-Irish road run.

The event will finish with evening entertainment at the Pavilion building, from Clive Edwards and other artists.

All welcome.
