CAI Marston, a year 2 pupil of Ysgol Gynradd Aberteifi, has recently raised £1,500 by doing a five-mile sponsored walk for Wales Air Ambulance to say thank you after they airlifted him to PICU ward at Noah's Ark Hospital, in Cardiff.

Due to Cai having prolonged seizures in the past, the local paramedics called on the doctors from the air ambulance to assist them during a seizure Cai had in February.

The Children's Air Ambulance doctor and critical care practitioner intubated and ventilated Cai in the ambulance then transferred him to the air ambulance. The journey to Noah's Ark Hospital took 40 minutes.

Cai's family are very grateful for all the support he has received through the whole fund-raising event, generous donations, donations from local stores and to Hannah Jones from HSBC Cardigan for match funding £500 towards Cai's total.

But the biggest thanks goes to his friends who took part in the walk. The children were aged seven-14-years-olds and all did incredibly well.
