BOTH Cardigan lifeboats were launched on Saturday evening to reports of a woman in trouble.
Members of the public had become concerned for the welfare of a woman who had entered the water at Mwnt and Milford Haven Coastguard requested the launch of both Cardigan lifeboats
The crews were paged at 4.39pm and both boats were launched by 4.55pm. After arriving at Mwnt and carrying out a search of the area it was confirmed that the female had got out of the water and made her own way to safety.
Coastguard rescue teams en-route were stood down and the lifeboats returned to station at Poppit Sands. The lifeboats were made ready for service at 6.15pm.
