Missing appointments led to a prison term for a homeless Narberth man.
Adam James Lewis, formerly of High Street, Narberth, now of no fixed abode, admitted failing to comply with the requirements of post sentence supervision when he appeared from custody at Haverfordwest magistrates court on Wednesday, April 17.
The court heard that Lewis, 34, had failed to attend two appointments with the probation service, and this was his second breach of the order.
Jonathan Webb, defending, said Lewis had been made homeless after being evicted from his last address, which he described as ‘less than salubrious’.
“He found himself homeless and is effectively sofa-surfing.
“Mr Lewis’ life has been somewhat chaotic in recent months.”
Mr Webb added that Lewis suffered from PTSD after being stabbed last year, and had not been receiving his post.
Magistrates sentenced him to 14 days in prison and ordered him to pay a £115 surcharge.
