A driver has been banned for travelling at 80mph in a 60mph zone near Newcastle Emlyn
AN 18-year-old speeding Llandysul driver clocked at 80mph on a 60mph road has been banned from driving for seven days.
Tomos Jeremy Evans of Penrhiwllan, Llandysul, was at the wheel of a Skoda Fabia on the A475 Horeb to Penrhiwllan, Newcastle Emlyn road on Boxing Day last year when his speed was recorded by police.
Evans admitted speeding when he appeared before magistrates at Aberystwyth Justice Centre.
As well as the seven-day driving ban and his licence endorsed, Evans was fined £80 and ordered to pay £85 in costs and a £30 victim surcharge.
