A YOUNG opera singer is £2,000 better off after winning the Douglas Rees Memorial Young Opera Singer of the Year title, held during the recent Milford Haven Music Festival.
Soprano Rachel Goode triumphed at Milford Haven’s St Katharine’s Church, competing against Rhiannon Llewellyn, Soprano; Ellen Williams, Soprano; Dilan Saka, Mezzo-Soprano; and Lucy Elston, Soprano.
She received a cheque for £2,000 and the crystal trophy, sponsored by Fred Rees Garages.
