AN UNINSURED driver has been arrested on suspicion of drug driving.
Traffic officers stopped a silver Toyota Yaris in Church Street, Little Lever, just before 10.30pm on Monday.
According to the GMP Traffic Twitter account, the driver told officers that he had bought the car the day before and he believed it was insured by the previous owner.
The car was also seized under section 165 of the Road Traffic Act.
GMP Traffic tweeted: "Just stopped this Yaris on Church Street Little Lever.
"Driver stated he purchased the car the day before and that the seller said he would leave the insurance on the car. Shame he wasn't named on it.
"Vehicle seized s165 RTA
"Driver also arrested on suspicion of drug driving."
