A BABY fair is set to give parents the chance to buy independent baby products made by parents and sell their own preloved baby things.

Taking place at Mellor Village Hall in Blackburn for the first time, the pop-up event on June 29 will bring the best baby product makers and local families together.

Fun activities will be on for children, as well as refreshments for both babies and parents.

Families can also sell their old baby items.

The event will be run by freelance content producer Shamaila Khan, who aims to showcase local indie brands and bring a more environmentally friendly approach to shopping.

She said: “I’m so happy and excited to be involved with BabyLoved Family Blackburn. I don’t feel that anybody is hosting events like this in the area.

“Yet there are so many talented women whose businesses can benefit with this sort of platform.”

Founder Helen Kerray said: “It’s not just about saving money when you buy Perfect Preloved items, it’s so important that we all take some responsibility in recycling clothing and toys as it stops them going to landfill.

“Buying gorgeous locally handmade artisan products isn’t just about buying beautiful things.

“It’s about buying from local people, investing in our local communities to make them more prosperous for everyone.”

The event will run from 2pm till 4pm and tickets for £2 per adult can be bought online at https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/babyloved-family-event-blackburn-29619-tickets-62815158831
