Briercliffe Avenue in Colne where the fire took place
THREE people were taken to hospital after part of a house caught fire.
Firefighters from Nelson and Colne were called to the house in Briercliffe Avenue, Colne at 10.07am on Saturday.
A spokesman for the fire service, said: "Firefighters extinguished the fire using two breathing apparatus, one hose reel and a ventilation unit.
"Three people were taken to hospital by North West Ambulance Service."
An investigation into the cause of the fire is now underway.
