Emergency services are currently responding to a crash between two HGVs in the Penrith area.
A stretch of the A66 is currently blocked due to the collision, near Crackenthorpe.A Cumbria Police spokesman confirmed that police "were called today at 11.46am following a collision involving two HGVs travelling towards Penrith.
"Motorists are advised to avoid the area as delays are expected and traffic is building up."
The crash happened between B6542 Appleby-In-Westmorland and the Long Marton turn off Crackenthorpe.
