Graham Potter will be keen to avoid injuries in his opening game in charge as Albion return to familiar territory in Austria.
The venue for tomorrow's friendly against FC Liefering (1pm UK time) is Sportplatz Bischofshofen.
Two years ago, at the same ground ahead of their first season in the Premier League, Albion beat a robust Fortuna Dusseldorf from the second division of the Bundesliga 2-0 with second half goals by Jamie Murphy and Tomer Hemed.
The fixture, which marked the debuts of Pascal Gross and Markus Suttner, was marred from Albion's and Chris Hughton's perspective by early ankle ligament damage sustained by Anthony Knockaert.
Liefering, the Austrian second division feeder club to Red Bull Salzburg since 2012, provide more youthful opposition than Fortuna.
The average age of their cosmopolitan squad is 18 and a half. It contains 14 foreigners, including South Korean under-23s midfielder Jumg-min Kim and Mali under-20s midfielder Mohamed Camara.
It is not only for age reasons that Liefering are likely to be energetic and athletic rivals. They are also further advanced in their preparations after finishing just below halfway last season.
They have already played one friendly, a 2-1 home defeat by Bayern Munich's second team last Saturday, and they begin their league campaign a fortnight sooner than Albion at the end of July.
