Police appeal after a boy is attacked
A teenager has been left with head injuries after an attack in Carlisle.
The 17-year-old boy was rushed to the hospital after the suspected assault.
It happened on Dalton Avenue, near the junction with Balfour Road just before 7pm last night.
Police have arrested a 14-year-old boy and 16-year-old boy.
A spokesman for Cumbria police said: "Two boys, aged 14 and 16, have been arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm.
"They remain in custody today."
Police are appealing for anyone who may have seen the assault or know anything about it to call 101.
