HOW THEY MET: They first met 27 years ago through friends then met up again 25 years later through the same group of friends.
PROPOSAL: At a Christmas party in December 2017 in Carlisle.
STAG & HEN CELEBRATIONS: David met friends for drinks in the Crown & Thistle, Stanwix, Carlisle and Pauline had a lovely meal with family and close friends followed by drinks in Carlisle.
VENUE: Hallmark Hotel, Carlisle.
BRIDE’S OUTFIT: A full-length ivory satin with crystal details across the bodice and waist, worn with a cathedral-length veil with satin edging and crystals. The dress was from Wedding Warehouse and crystal Alice band from Carol Robert’s Bridal Boutique.
GROOMSMEN: Neil Renton, groom’s best friend, was best man, and AJ Sirey, groom’s grandson, and Dale Hodgson, bride’s son, were ushers; Jenson and Kairo Sirey, groom’s grandsons, were pageboys. They wore grey silk tails by Wedding Warehouse.
BRIDESMAIDS: Lisa Yeomans, groom’s daughter, was maid of honour with Keely Sirey, groom’s granddaughter, was bridesmaid, and Ruby Sirey, groom’s granddaughter, was flowers girl.
FLOWERS: A burgundy and ivory teardrop bouquet for the bride with burgundy and ivory posies for the maid of honour and bridesmaid and burgundy and ivory wands for the flower girls.
RECEPTION: A wedding breakfast for 49 guests was held at the Hallmark Hotel, Carlisle with an evening reception for 115 guests.
TABLE SETTINGS: Centrepieces were two tier fish bowls filled with burgundy and ivory roses.
FAVOURS: Personalised candles, sweets, chocolates and a mirrored heart were handmade by the bride and her close friend Anne Craig.
CAKE: A three-tier chocolate and vanilla sponge by Gayle@Crystal Tips.
FIRST DANCE: Perfect by Ed Sheeran featuring Beyoncé.
ENTERTAINMENT: Provided by the Hallmark.
HONEYMOON: A few days in Grasmere after the wedding followed by Jamaica later in the year.
