Learners at Caereinion High School have recorded a 10 per cent increase in top end grades as they celebrated their A-level results.
A* and A grades increased to 28 per cent of the students' entry and this achievement was further enhanced by a 100 per cent pass rate in both the Welsh Baccalaureate and Vocational Qualifications.
Headteacher Philip Jones said: "Indeed the Welsh Bacc results were outstanding as learners secured a 100 per cent pass rate between A*-C. The overall A-level pass rate was 94 per cent.
"On an individual basis 16 per cent of the learners have achieved 3 or more A' Level passes at A* or A marking a significant improvement on the top end grades," said Mr Jones.
"Naturally we are delighted with the overall success of the learners which has been a fine reward for all their hard work and support from their parents.
"In addition it further underlines the quality of teaching being delivered at the school and I would like to thank all the staff for their dedication and commitment," he added.
"On behalf of the wider community I would like to wish all the learners the very best as they enter the next stage of their development," Mr Jones concluded.
