ONE Llandysul youngster is doing her bit for the environment during the coronavirus lockdown.
During her daily one-hour exercise walk down a very quiet country lane near her home, seven-year-old Gwenlli Evans-Thomas asked mum Catrin if she could litter pick.
And in little more than a 200-yard stretch of road, a staggering 114 cans were picked up to be recycled, with all the other rubbish put in another non-recyclable bag.
Gwenlli, a Year 2 pupil at Ysgol Bro Teifi, said: “I’d like to remind people not to be litterbugs and take their rubbish home with them!”
Mum Catrin said: “It’s totally shocking and so sad as well. Home schooling is very challenging for all parents, but both Gwenlli and her brother Caio Glyn are learning a lot from being outside as well as in.”
