WORK is due to start tomorrow (Tuesday) on repairing a hole in the road on Amroth seafront.

The hole, described as 'sizeable', appeared in the road at the New Inn end of the village on Friday.

It was inspected by a Pembrokeshire County Council highways officer later in the day and subsequently cordoned off.

Following an on-site meeting between council staff and contractors today (Monday), it was agreed to start repair work tomorrow.

A council spokesman said: "The work is expected to take two to three days, and there will be no reason to close the road."
