A DRIVER who smashed through the front of a Christchurch takeaway is being hunted by police.
Officers said they have not arrested anyone in connection with the incident, which took place at the Bao Bao House in Bargates in the early hours of Friday July 31.
As reported in the Daily Echo, the front window was smashed and an indoor seating area and wall wrecked in the incident.
Witnesses said they had seen a car spinning out of control down the road from the direction of Stour Road before it crashed through the front of the shop.
A spokesman for Dorset Police said: "We were called at 2.20am on Friday July 31 to reports that a vehicle had gone into the shop window of Bao Bao Chinese restaurant on Bargates in Christchurch and had failed to stop at the scene.
"An investigation into the circumstances of the incident is under way. No arrests have been made."
