A MAN who committed crimes in Wolverhampton including assault has been sentenced at Haverfordwest Magistrates' Court after recently moving to Pembrokeshire.
Shane Haddock, now residing in Colley Court, Monkton, was convicted of assault and resisting arrest in Wolverhampton at the Black Country Magistrates' Court in July, having pleaded not guilty to the charges.
The case was adjourned for a pre-sentencing report to be made and in that time Haddock moved from Wolverhampton to Pembrokeshire where he was sentenced at Haverfordwest Magistrate's Court on September 15.
On the day of sentencing the court heard how in January, Haddock, 25, took a cigarette break during work and was confronted by a manager.
He was described as reacting in an aggressive manner and the police were called. This was when Haddock reportedly walked off.
Police officers tried to stop Haddock from leaving the scene which included grabbing him by the arm and resulted in him being put in a headlock and both Haddock and the police officer ending up on the ground.
Haddock was given 100 hours unpaid work to carry out as well as being made to pay compensation of £100.
He will have to pay prosecution charges of £650 and a surcharge of £95.
He has a year to complete his community service and will pay the outstanding debt at a rate of £5 a week.
