Thousands of pound were raised at a charity cricket event recently hosted in Pembrokeshire.
PEMBROKE Dock Cricket Club played an all-star line-up in the Helen Griffiths Shield charity match and in the process raised a whopping £7000.
The matches, which was played at Imble Lane, saw a ladies 20/20 game in the 'Prosecco Cup', and two 20/20 mens games.
The PDCC 'Dockettes' took on Cresselly and then a Pembroke Dock select squad played the Nick Daley All Star select squad with the winner picking up the Helen Griffiths Shield.
Along with the round of matches there was a raffle held and the club hosted drinks and music.
Among the charities that will benefit from the money raised, mental health will be one of the causes that shall be supported.
The event had initially been postponed due to Covid.
