The 16th annual Crymych tractor road run, organised by Jac Vaughan and his family, took place last Saturday with an impressive entry of 68 tractors.

With a 19-mile route, the first of the long convoy of tractors left the start with the kind permission of Frenni Transport in Crymych at 10.45am, with the locals lining the pavements in the village waving the drivers on.

The first waypoint en route was Llanfair Nant Gwyn near Eglwyswrw, where the drivers would cross the main road heading for the main Cardigan to Fishguard Road.

They then headed back east towards Rhos Hill, where a 10 minute halt was taken.

Boncath village would be next on the route and on to Bwlchygroes via some back roads, and then on to the village of Star.

The double hairpin bends then headed to Rhos y Llun and onto the old Pant y Blaidd Inn for a lunch break.

From there some of the tractor drivers made their way for home, whilst others made their way back to the start area at Crymych where their transport and trailers would await them to load and head for home.

It had been a very well organised run, with the money raised going to Ysgol Feithryn Crymych and the playing field restoration fund.
