There have been 441 new coronavirus recorded in the Hywel Dda health board area according to today’s figures, (Monday, October 4).

The latest Public Health Wales (PHW) data shows there were 202 new cases in Carmarthenshire, 193 in Pembrokeshire and 46 in Ceredigion since the last report.

Data on a Monday is for a 48 hour period up to 9am Sunday and is likely to be around double the usual 24 hour figures.

The total number of cases across the three counties now stands at 31,767 – 19,380 in Carmarthenshire, 8,129 in Pembrokeshire and 4,258 in Ceredigion.

There were three new Covid-related deaths recorded in the Hywel Dda area since the last report taking the total to 523 throughout the pandemic.

In total 3,986 new cases of coronavirus and 17 new Covid-related deaths have been reported across Wales bringing the national total to 364,866 cases and 5,924 deaths.

There have been 47,149 tests done across the country since the last report.

Across Wales, 2,376,708 have received a first dose of Covid-19 vaccine and 2,223,545 are fully vaccinated.

Hywel Dda health board is no longer providing vaccination data for the three counties.
