This October, Heatherton World of Activities is bringing its very first 'pick your own pumpkin' patch.

The team at Heatherton have been cultivating the giant patch for months in preparation for Hallowe'en.

During October, people will be able to choose your very own pumpkins to take home.

A selection of Hallowe'en treats and hot chocolate will also be available within the patch.

Pumpkin picking sessions must be booked in advance via Heatherton’s website – entry is just £1 per person and the following dates/times are available during October:

• Fridays (October 8, 15 and 22 – 2pm to 4.30pm

• Saturdays, Sundays and every day throughout October half term (October 23-31) - 10.30am to 12.00pm/ 12.30pm to 2.00pm/ 2.00pm to 4.30pm

The pumpkins themselves will be priced individually according to size.

During half term week, Heatherton is also running the annual Scarecrow Trail and Mysterious Maze, with each scarecrow created by a local school or club to help raise money for a local cause.

A £1 donation per trail sheet will go to the Owen James Trust Fund, helping five-year-old Owen from Pembroke who lives with Pitt Hopkins Syndrome – a rare genetic disorder.
