A MARLOES pensioner has been put on the sex offenders register for seven years after being found guilty of making indecent images of children.

Derek Lister,72, was sentenced last week at Swansea Crown Court. He had previously been found guilty of three counts of making indecent photographs / pseudo-photographs of a child, all between June 13, 2009 and November 28, 2019.

The first count related to three of the most serious Category A images, the second count to 14 Category B images and the third to 152 Category C images.

Lister was sentenced to four months in prison, suspended for two years; a 30-day rehabilitation activity requirement and 150 hours of unpaid work.

He must pay a victim surcharge of £115.

He was also put on the sex offences register for seven years and made the subject of a sexual harm prevention order for seven years.
