A great chance to add to your art collection and support a unique arts venue in Pembrokeshire gets underway this week with the opening on Thursday of the Oriel Q annual fundraising auction.
The Narberth gallery has a long and distinguished record of showcasing exciting work, and this year's auction is the first in Oriel Q's new premises in Market Street.
Work by both well-known and emerging artists features in the auction, with some very reasonable reserve prices, some of which can be viewed at the gallery.
Said an Oriel Q spokesperson:
"This is a marvellous opportunity to refresh the art on your walls by both selling something you already have, with 50 per cent going to the gallery, and then investing in a new piece to enjoy.
"All the work will be on www.jumblebee.co.uk/artistsandcollectorsfundraisingauction with details of how to bid. The site is already live, with details of new works being added all the time.
"To submit a piece go to www.orielqnarberth.com and click on ‘enter an item in the auction’.
"Oriel Q has a long and distinguished record of showcasing exciting work, and the annual auction is now reaching artists and collectors from all over the UK; purchased work can be posted, making it even easier to enhance your art collection.
" We hope that it will be an outstanding event in support of this unique meeting place and showcase for the arts in West Wales."
Oriel Q is open from Tuesday to Saturday, 10am to 4pm, and final bids for the auction are on November 13.
