DRIVING at more than 80 mph in a 50mph speed limit has cost a Pembroke woman £244.
Laura Elizabeth Powell, 36, of Poyers Avenue entered a guilty plea under the single justice procedure to Llanelli Magistrates' Court on Monday, October 11.
She admitted breaking the speed limit on the overpass of the A40 near Llanllwch, Carmarthen last April.
Her speed recorded by laser was 83mph.
The court ordered her to pay a fine of £120, costs of £90 and a surcharge of £34, and she was given six penalty points on her driving record.
