A fundraising page has been set up in order to allow more defibrillators and defibrillator training in the centre of Milford Haven.

Following a cardiac arrest on Tuesday, October 12 on Charles Street in Milford Haven town centre, residents and shop workers have expressed their concerns.

The concerns are over lapsed training and lack of confidence and knowledge of what to do in such a situation.

The fundraising page was set up, which if its initial target is reached, will provide for a defibrillator and first aid kit to be placed within the town centre.

Funds will also be able to provide a minimum of 20 people with training in CPR and AED awareness..

The first defibrillator would be placed at Taste of Haven, at the top end of Charles Street.

Currently, there is one defibrillator on Charles Street, at CK's supermarket, as well as four others in the central ward of Milford Haven.

The page is supported by Pegasus Ambulance Service, and Ambulance Friends wish to fundraise as much as possible to provide training and equipment throughout the town.

Any additional funds would be used to supply first aid equipment, and more defibrillators throughout the centre of the town and even further afield.
