There have been 322 new coronavirus cases recorded in the Hywel Dda Health Board area according to the latest figures today (Tuesday, October 19).

The latest data shows there were 125 new cases in Carmarthenshire, 146 in Pembrokeshire and 51 in Ceredigion since the last report.

The total number of cases across the three counties now stands at 36,709 – 21,861 in Carmarthenshire, 10,008 in Pembrokeshire and 4,840 in Ceredigion.

There were no new Covid-related deaths recorded in the Hywel Dda area since the last report, with the total standing at 539 throughout the pandemic.

In total 3,200 new cases of coronavirus and two new Covid-related deaths have been reported across Wales bringing the national total to 404,844 cases and 6,037 deaths.

There have been 19,389 tests done across the country since the last report.

Across Wales 2,418,115 people have had their first dose of covid-19 vaccine and 2,236,392 have had their second dose and are fully vaccinated.

Hywel Dda University Health Board is no longer updating its vaccination reports with invitations for third ‘booster’ doses now going out to residents across the three counties in priority order.
