A SCHOOL received a generous donation to help them understand more about the fascinating world of science.

Soroptimists in Haverfordwest recently handed over £350 to St Marks VA School to help with their STEMM studies (science, technology, engineering, maths and medicine).

In attendance were head Heather Cal, Priest Neil Hook and a few of the 'science keen' pupils.

A representative of Soroptimists said: "What a pleasure it all was.

"We got to hand over a cheque of £350 to help the school with their STEMM activities.

"The school is amazing and doing a fantastic job.

"We were also treated to a tour of the newly installed polytunnel and outdoor classroom and permaculture."
