Milford Youth Matters has recently received a £5,000 donation from Simon Safety on the back of the Valero 'benefit for children' golf event.

The Milford Haven-based youth charity received the donation after the charity golf day highlighted the help provided to young people throughout the county.

Simon Ashton, managing director at Simon Safety and Lifting Centre Ltd, said: "As a Milford Haven boy myself, I see the huge potential this area has to offer Wales and the wider UK, and I am passionate about promoting and enhancing the aspirations of our young people to help fulfil that potential.

"Milford Youth Matters epitomises this ethos of providing opportunities and raising the aspirations of our next generation so we, at Simon Safety are thrilled to be able to help this organisation deliver on its ambitions."

Dayle Gibby, co-ordinator at Milford Youth Matters added: "Milford Youth Matters and the Milford Youth Matters Ambassadors are extremely grateful for this fantastic donation from Simon Safety through the Valero benefit for children golf classic 2021.

"In addition to the financial donation we are very much appreciative of the support, guidance, friendship and involvement from Simon, Tony, Mark and the team at Simon Safety.

"Our close partnership has enabled us to develop our service, whilst continuing to offer exiting and new possibilities to young people.

"Working closely with Simon Safety, it is clear they have a passion to support and raise the aspirations of young people, by sharing resources and expertise together we can maximise the opportunities we provide."
