Haverfordwest County AFC has announced that it has partnered with the Football Association of Wales Grassroots Trust to bring girls academy football to Pembrokeshire.

The Cymru Premier club will be running a U12s, U14s and an U16s squad, spanning years six to 11, starting in November.

The aim is to support and develop talented female footballers to progress onto the FAW Trust South Wales Girls Academy squad, as well as Wales youth and senior squads.

A spokesperson for the club said: "We eagerly await the opportunity to work in collaboration with the South Wales Football Association and the South Wales Women's and Girls' League to ensure talented female players in Pembrokeshire and the surrounding area have the opportunity to reach their full potential."

Trials will take place at Ysgol Caer Elen in Haverfordwest on:

  • Thursday, November 4 for U12s (Years Six and Seven)
  • Thursday, November 11 for U14s (Years Eight and Nine)
  • Thursday, November 18 for U16s (Years 10 and 11)

All trials will take place between 6pm and 7pm. It is asked that players arrive at 5.30pm.
