The memorial in Milford Haven of the men who lost their lives when the Richard Crofts trawler sank in 1953 is to undergo a proposed cleaning and repainting.
The trawler sunk near the Inner Hebrides, taking the lives of eight men, leaving four survivors, and now a memorial stands in Milford Haven Cemetery.
Prior to the cleaning and repainting of the memorial, Milford Haven Town Council wishes to contact descendants of the men, including:
- Harry Rich (skipper) - Laurel Villa, Waterloo Road, Hakin.
- Charles Duncan Toombs (chief engineer) - 19 Nelson Avenue, Hakin
- Walter Charles Hollowell (mate) - Cranham Park Road, Johnston
- John Charles Owen (bosun) - 4 Eastleigh Drive, Milford
- George Robert Coe (third hand) - 44 Stratford Road, Milford Haven
- Norman Stanley Rees (cook) - 231 Robert Street, Milford Haven
- Edgar John Taylor (deckhand) - 14 Blackbridge Crescent, Milford Haven
- John James Turrell (deckhand) - 15 Priory Ville, Milford Haven
