A man with possible spinal injuries has been airlifted to hospital from the Blue Lagoon at Abereiddy.
Coastguard rescue teams from Fishguard and St Davids were paged at 11.27am today to go to the aid of the injured man.
He was taken out of the water on a paddleboard before being transferred to a stretcher and given pain relief by coastguards and paramedics from the coastguard rescue helicopter which had been called to the scene.
The man was then carried to the helicopter and taken aboard to be flown to hospital in Bangor.

HM Coastguard St Davids confirmed: “The team and HM Coastguard Fishguard were paged at 11.17am (Saturday, May 28), following reports of a young male with suspected spinal injuries at Blue Lagoon, Abereiddy.
"Casualty assessed on scene. Assistance requested from R936, based Caernarfon. Casualty packaged and transferred to Bangor Hospital for further assessment / treatment.
"Thank you to everyone for their assistance, especially the member of public who got the casualty onto a paddle board and to the beach.
"Thank you to the staff from Muuk-Adventures.com and Celtic Quest Coasteering for their assistance.”
