1. Popular Llandudno pub closes for two weeks for 'TLC'

This week, readers were keen to discover that one of the area's most popular establishments was closed for some TLC.

The Cottage Loaf, at Market Street, is closed for two weeks from February 19 for what the business said was some 'well earned TLC'.

The business apologised to customers for any inconvenience the closure would cause.

2. Work underway to revamp hotel in Betws-y-Coed

A multi-million-pound refurbishment of a Betws-y-Coed hotel this week.

The Swallow Falls Inn, formerly The Swallow Falls Hotel, is anticipated to be ready to re-open its doors by the end of the year.

3. Inquest concludes into death of boy who fell from Great Orme

The inquest into the death of Ben Leonard, the 16-year-old Scout who fell to his death at the Great Orme, is concluded this week.

After the inquest, his family said: "We would first like to thank and record our thanks to our family and loved ones for their unending support in what has been the worst five-and-a-half years in our lives.

"The pain of losing Ben has only been made worse by the constant passing of blame from one person to another, and the never-ending uttering of empty words."

4. Great Orme goat put down after being found injured by Llandudno road

A goat in Llandudno had toy be put down this week after being spotted injured at the side of a road.

Jackie Caldwell spotted the Kashmir goat unable to move on Marine Drive.

The RSPCA was then contacted, with Jackie later informed that, unfortunately, the goat had to be put to sleep.

5. Seal colony takes over beach on Llandudno's Great Orme!

Readers enjoyed seeing images of a huge seal colony taking a break at a hidden bay on Llandudno's Great Orme.

The colony of grey seals was spotted at Pigeons' cave, a favourite spot for seals, who have had a recorded presence there for several years.

A spokesperson for the British Divers Marine Life Rescue warned against disturbing the group, with seals needing to "haul out" and rest.
