Ammanford’s Quay Street became the site of a giant twmpath dance on Thursday, February 29, as an enormous St David’s Day street party swung into action.
Hundreds of children from local schools joined in the fun, enjoying a morning of traditional Welsh folk dancing, with music from local folk group Jac Y Do, and singing.
The children came dressed for the occasion with many of them in traditional Welsh costumes and Welsh Rugby shirts forming a sea of red.
The event attracted a good crown of onlookers and supporters who also joined in with the singing, with Yma o Hyd being a particular favourite.
Free car parking was offered at Carmarthenshire County Council carparks in Ammanford to encourage local people to come and get involved.
