THE Pembroke River Rally was a huge success with hundreds of locals and sea cadets showcasing their sailing skills.

Yesterday (August 17) from 2pm to 5pm, the rally took place at South Quay by the Henry VII statue.

The event organised by Pembroke Town Council featured a children’s fancy dress competition, pirate treasure quiz and a special visit by Jake from ‘The Neverland Pirates.’

Michele added: “What a lovely afternoon at Pembroke River rally today. Lots of boats, supporters and lots of fun. Dead man walking man were playing there too. Well done to everyone involved. It was also lovely to see our mayor there.”

The Pembroke River Rally is a popular tradition in Pembrokeshire and this year’s event lived up to expectations with numerous boats sailing on the Cleddau River.
