Pantomime mascots from a theatre brought happiness to the second day of the Pembrokeshire County Show last Thursday (August 15).
Dame Colin and Daisy the Cow from Torch Theatre, paraded around the show field, visiting food producers, farm machinery sheds and the cow shed.
Torch Theatre had their own stall at the Milford Haven Port Authority marquee near the main equestrian rings and many other of their members dressed up in fun costumes.
Torch Theatre Artistic Director, Chelsey Gillard said: “It was great to see everyone. The flow of people through the tent was terrific and we were able to promote our up-and-coming events, from cinema and live broadcasts to theatre and music.
“It was wonderful to bring the Torch Theatre magic to the people, to engage with them and to promote our activities here in Milford Haven.”
The popular theatre is set to launch two shows this year and the Pembrokeshire County Show helped to promote future productions at the venue.
Chelsey added: “We announced our autumn production, a return of the much-loved Grav that will be performed with us in October celebrating 10 years of touring the world, and we also launched our Jack and the Beanstalk Design a Set Competition for the children – more details to be announced soon.
“It was heartwarming to receive such good feedback from our audience members and to talk about our array of activities. It really was a fun day, and we look forward to returning next year.”
