A local lifeboat was launched into rough seas and strong winds yesterday, Monday, August 19, following reports of two people cut off by the tide.
Tenby All Weather Lifeboat the Haydn Miller was launched into high seas caused by the remnants of Hurricane Ernesto.
Shortly before 5.30pm the Coastguard received a report of two people possibly cut off by the tide at Worm's Head.
The volunteer crew were soon heading down the slip and straight into the high winds and choppy conditions.
About ten minutes into the 18 mile trip east, it was confirmed that the people were fishing and in no danger.
The lifeboat was then stood down to return to station arriving at 6.05pm.
