A large emergency response was mounted this week after reports of a child in difficulty in the sea off a Pembrokeshire beach.
Coastguard Rescue Helicopter 187, the Tenby all-weather lifeboat, police drone officers, HM Coastguard and paramedics were all involved when the alarm was raised about the child in the water at Broadhaven South.
The Tenby lifeboat the Haydn Miller, was launched at around 5.20pm on Tuesday August 20 after the coastguard received calls about the child.
Tenby RNLI reported on Facebook: “The volunteer crew made best speed in choppy seas, with Coastguard rescue helicopter 187 also making their way to the scene, some nine miles west of Tenby.
"Specially trained drone officers from Pembs road police team were also dispatched.
"As the lifeboat was passing Manorbier, it was confirmed that the child had been rescued and was now safely ashore and being checked over by Paramedics.
"The lifeboat was stood down to return to station, arriving at 6pm."
