The week incorporates a town clean up, coordinated by Keep Wales Tidy, the switching on of the town's Christmas lights, the launch of the Transition Bro Gwaun shopping bag and promtional displays in Saturday's Farmers Market.

On Saturday and Sunday groups will be doing a variety of tidying jobs around the town, and will also assess future maintenance and development needs on the Marine Walk, Tower Hill and the River Bank area in Lower Town.

The Fishguard and Goodwick shopping bag, a reusable bag sponsored by local businesses, will be launched by the mayor, David Williams, at the market at 9.30am on Thursday.

If you can't make it to the market to pick up your bag, they also available from several local businesses including Parrs and the post office in Goodwick, both the Thursday and the Farmers market as well as Gwaun Valley Meats; Siop y Pobol; A & E Nichols Hardware; Fishguard Wholefood and Healing and Dyffryn Fernant Gardens.

Also on Thursday the new LED Christmas lights will be switched on in Goodwick, with the Fishguard and Lower Town switch on taking place on Friday.
