MURDER squad detectives investigating the death of a Swansea man after a nightclub incident are appealing for help from Ebbw Vale clubbers.

South Wales Police are investigating the death of Dean David Norman, 23, in November. They want revellers from Ebbw Vale who were in the Swansea club that night to come forward. Detectives yesterday released still photographs from CCTV footage of potential witnesses, some of whom they believe may be from Ebbw Vale.

They are asking for the people pictured to contact them, if they have not already done so. A South Wales Police spokeswoman said: "The police have already spoken to people from Ebbw Vale and have been told there were others in the area that night. They may be able to help us with our inquiries."

Mr Norman, of Llangorse Road, Penlan, Swansea, died on November 9 last year after an incident at the Time Nightclub on the city's Kingsway a week earlier.

Police say that on November 2 , Mr Norman visited the night-spot and that he was involved in a fracas inside the club at around 1.30am, which spilled on to the street. Despite his injuries, say police, he initially went home. But he was later admitted to the city's Morriston Hospital when he began complaining of a headache. His condition quickly deteriorated.

Mr Norman was placed on a life-support machine but later died from head injuries. Steven David Morgan, 24, from Clase, Swansea, has appeared at Swansea Crown Court charged with Mr Norman's murder. He was remanded in custody.

Police know partygoers from Ebbw Vale, Neath, Port Talbot and Llanelli were at the nightclub - one of Wales' biggest - on November 2.

Anyone pictured in the CCTV still should call the incident room at Cockett police station on 01792 456 999.
