MEADOW Foods has announced the appointment of its new farm liaison manager for south and west Wales.

Pembrokeshire born and bred, David John joins Meadow Foods with more than 11 years’ experience of selling dairy hygiene and feed to farmers in west Wales.

David is excited to be taking on the role of farm liaison manager for the area.

“The opportunity for me at Meadow Foods is fantastic. It is one of the most forward thinking and dynamic businesses in the UK dairy industry and has spotted a great opportunity to grow it’s supplier base in one of the key dairy regions of the UK.

“I am looking forward to getting out there and making sure all farmers in south and west Wales know what Meadow has to offer.”

Meadow Foods milk procurement director Jim Bebb said: “It’s great to have David on board as he has real hands on farming experience and connections in the area.

“We have an ever- growing number of producers in South Wales and significant enquiries from potential new suppliers.

“David will be able to focus on building our relationship with existing producers alongside signing up new suppliers in the region.”

Meadow Foods continued to recruit over the summer and now have more than 600 direct producers.

They put this success down to providing a simple and easily achieved price schedule, while offering a wealth of information and support through its dedicated farm liaison team.

Meadow Foods is the UK’s largest independently owned dairy group and leading supplier of milk based dairy ingredients to the food industry.

The company, founded in 1992, now employs more than 250 people and has a turnover in excess of £350m.
